Shagufta

Shagufta is an ingenious and highly creative Artisan. She worked side by side with Tasha in developing our Kantha scarves, and it's largely due to her perseverance and creativity that they came to be.

Shagufta had several older sisters that were employed by VA, and when she came of age she was very enthusiastic about joining them in their work. She applied herself faithfully to learning new skills, and her motivation allowed her to quickly surpass her older sisters and develop management skills.

Shagufta is always coming up with ingenious new ideas and beautiful designs.

Shagufta is a pro at balancing her work and family life, and now applies her management skills at home, where she is a wonderful mama for her 2 babies and cares for her bustling household.
